It's all fun and games until someone invades Poland. 1939 was the year of the great New York World's Fair, or as this documentary accurately puts it, a real-life land of Oz, complete with surreal architecture, a tin woodsman and a midget village. I could ramble for hours on the subject, but I'll let the documentary above do the talking. It's a nicely done tribute to this little slice of paradise between the depression and World War II.
No, this blog hasn't been left out to die just yet, I just haven't come around to doing something worth displaying. Especially now that I finally found a job.
(Gotta make a decent art-deco backdrop one of these days...)
