Both made from cardstock, paper and an old chassis. Sometimes I wish I could write a magazine article on building one of these but I'm afraid Uncle Pete may ask for compensation.... that's the fearsome Union Pacific railroad. So There.
Recently, Uncle Eddie re-posted his 4 part saga of Capatin Hooked and Peter Pan's dog. When originally posted, I made this sketch of him and a pie and thought it would looks great as a Collier's cover from the 30's. Looking at this ancient doodle again, I figure it merits being drawn again....or maybe I'll do another pose that is more suited to a cover's vertical format.
Dear readers (if any), I apologise for the magnificent lull in posts, as certain obligations have kept me away from this 'ere electro-scrapbook (although I did post a few photographed goods on the ole flickr page). Sketchings have been rather scarce in recent days, and I've fallen behind in my self-imposed lessons, but that will be corrected soon enough. In the meantime, here's a little view of things to come. I've been working on this Packard for ages, and the more I get into it, the more I have to correct. Still, here's a fairly completed area.... still missing the hood ornament, though.
